Get recommendedwhen buyers ask AI.
The Happy Cat is a Manchester studio doing two things well: we build practical AI tools and interactive digital experiences, and we get UK businesses found and recommended by AI assistants.
On the build side, our recent work includes a browser-based engineering calculator that sizes motors for real machine mechanisms, a digital lexicon platform with a structured content database and editorial pipeline, and an interactive 3D vending machine that dispenses procedurally generated artifacts. On the visibility side: The Happy Cat is an AI visibility (GEO) agency helping UK businesses get found and recommended by AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity and Gemini — and we publish our methodology and results openly, including our own numbers.
No dashboards to decipher. A clear source map and the work to improve it.

The Happy Cat method
A practical route into the answers that shape demand.
AI visibility is not a trick. It is a repeatable process of identifying the sources assistants trust, then earning your place in them.
The signal loop
Find the answer gap
We run the buyer questions that matter and log who gets recommended, where the answer comes from, and where you are missing.
Earn the right signals
We strengthen the reviews, lists, community conversations, and pages AI systems actually retrieve when they answer.
Track what changed
Every month, you see your share of voice, the sources gained, and the competitive movement behind it.
A different starting point
Need something built?
Website, tool, or AI workflow.
If the next move is a new site, internal tool, or AI-enabled product, tell us what needs to work. We'll give you an honest next step.
Request a conversationWhy a small studio, not an agency
The Happy Cat is deliberately small. The person you email is the person who audits your site, writes your structured data, and runs your monthly AI visibility tests. There's no account manager in between, no handover to a junior, and no ticketing queue — which is why work that takes an agency a quarter typically takes us days.
We also practise what we sell. This site was our first project: we made it readable to AI assistants, deployed the same fixes we recommend to clients, and documented the before-and-after in the open. No large agency can show you that — their website is a marketing artefact; ours is a live case study.
Being small doesn't mean being informal. Every engagement runs on the same documented checklist, the same query tracker, and the same monthly measurement rhythm, so the method is written down, repeatable, and visible to you — not locked in anyone's head.
An honest note on fit: if you want a forty-person team, a quarterly strategy deck, and a named account director, we're not the right choice. If you want the person actually doing the work on the phone when you call — that's exactly what we are.
Why it matters
The first impression is increasingly an answer, not a search result.
When a buyer asks an assistant who to trust, the business absent from the source set is often absent from the conversation.
